Hello Helen

I'm one of the parents you met last Saturday at the Centre for the Child, in Birmingham City Centre.  I want to apologise for taking so long to write to you. You did a magnificent job with both of my children.  You may remember my daugher was wearing a blue and white dress and had a matching blue butterfly on her face, and my son with the green shorts and t-shirt wanted to be a tiger that was 'not too scary' on his face!  I would be grateful if you would send me the photographs of both children as you had previously most kindly offered.  The children have been after me ever since, to ask you to send them!

I wanted to tell you that we've been coming to the centre for the child for many years now, ever sinse my daugher was a baby and way before that too.  But my children love your face paintings, and look forward to seeing you every time we plan a visit to the library.  They were delighted to see you this time as they were not expecting you to be there (with your paints) but to their surprise you were !  Thank you for making them so happy ! they kept their faces just as you had painted them, all day, (even after having some ice-cream) and grudgingly washed the paint off before bed that night!They even told their friends all about it on Monday when they went to school! so thanks again!  Hope to see you there again during the summer holidays!  Kind regards Rabia.

I sent Rabia the six best photos of the children and she was over the moon with them.. we do offer to do that as a free service normally if the camera is available because sometimes, parents dont have the facilities on their mobiles to take one themselves and also, the children love to be featured on the website for a while.  They can show all of their friends too !!

Rabia wrote afterwards... Thank you for your prompt response.  Thank you for the pictures Helen! they are gorgeous! - My husband has seen them and so has my sister and they are both singing your praises!  The children are asleep now but i'll show them the pictures first thing tomorrow morning and i'm sure they'll be over the moon!  We look forward to seeing them on your website and seeing you again during the summer holidays. - Rabia Patel - mum

More thank you letters & emails .........

I just wanted to say a huge 'thank you' for Saturday.. Jane was fantastic, so lovely with everyone and an amaizing painter.  We certainly will use you again next yeare only for more hours next time,because by the time Jane was needing to go, the adults were just deciding that they wanted a tattoo !  and we were so lucky with the weather .. Hi Helen

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for helping us create such a fantastic event last Saturday.  I have had so many e mails from parents raving about your artistic skill and what a great event it was.  I couldnt believe how fast you were with the paints and how beautiful the results were.  The balloons were also an extra bonus. We would love to book you again next year and i will be in touch soon.

Dear Helen,   Just a little note to say thank you very much for the work you did at my daughters birthday party (Sunday 28 June).
 
All the kids were so delighted with the paintings they had done, as were the parents when they came to collect their children. You were wonderful with the kids and this shows in quality of work you produced on the day. My Little girl loved her face painting and she was most impressed that it lasted all day, and at how easy it came off (even though she kept it on until the very last moment!).

My daughter hasnt stopped talking about her birthday party and I just thought I'd drop you a line to say thanks for all you did.  Everyone had a great time, and her friends all wanted to have you go to their houses to do their hair and nails and then paint their faces too.  It was great fun, and letting them see you working has inspired them all to be more creative with their art too.  We would never have known about you if we hadnt been recomended and I'm so glad we booked, it was great value for money....I hope you have more new ideas for next year because we're already thinking about what we can do to top this! .. Hi Helen, Just to say, thank you for your help with our Garden Day event typical that the sunshine be blazing now !  Nevertheless we had 220 people at the event and we'll be trying to attract more next year when we repeat the event.  Annette - Soho House Museum (see us at halloween at Soho House)
